Latina by Milcha Sanchez-Scott, directed by Stephen Rothman, was performed November 4 – 12, 2016, at The Cal. State Los Angeles State Playhouse.

In Latina, a migrant woman from Peru is led to a domestic agency run by a man who exploits undocumented immigrants for his own financial gain along with his second in command, a Mexican woman ashamed of her culture because of societal prejudice. The woman from Peru meets an array of characters in similar predicaments who must be each other’s support system in order to survive and persevere, through the adversity that comes with striving for a dream.

This design was in surround sound and incorporated trance-like dream sequences that utilized hidden microphones and original music
